The Furniture Division of the Shoprite Group, Africa's largest retailer, currently has an exciting opportunity available to join our Furniture Team as a Transport Clerk. This opportunity will have you operating in a fast-paced logistics and transportation environment. Your primary purpose is to monitor and report on the fleet, ensuring effective administration and support to facilitate seamless transportation operations.

Job Objectives

• Completing daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports
• Keeping records and general administration for both Despatch and Fleet
• Tracking of vehicles and on route follow up including escalating of issues on the route
• Verifying stores serviced for the day are as per scheduled
• Daily checking of vehicle licenses, road worthy and driver's license reports.
• Liaising with the Mix Tar team to ensure and event triggers are actioned
• Perform any other reasonable admin duties
• Capturing and reporting of fuel usage and fines are done on a daily basis and completed timeously.
• Daily distribution of driver behavior reports

• Matric Certificate

• Diploma in Transport / Logistics Management / Equivalent

• 2+ years admin experience.
• 2+ years experience working in a similar environment would be advantageous.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.
• Work and perform well under pressure, as well as adapt to changing work requirements and situations.
• Fleet planning and administration.
• Good understanding of tracking systems such as Mixtelematics.
• Proficient computer skills (MS excel; Office 365).
