The Training Management Specialist identifies clients' training needs and manages the resolution of training gaps from inception to execution. The role entails identifying training needs and corresponding solutions, ensuring clients receive mandatory grants, accessing additional funding such as discretionary grants for training initiatives such as learnerships and other accredited programs. It ensures compliance with SETA requirements and supports the implementation of effective learning and development programs. It provides support for day-to-day compliance and training implementation related queries and maintains a great relationship with clients and 3rd party providers that enable introductions to new business opportunities.

You are responsible for
Inclusive of, but not limited to:
Client Retention:

  • Maintain a professional relationship with clients to ensure a 100% retention of client base.
  • Ensure quality of completed work as per standard. Manage own diary, service activities and consulting schedule.
  • Maintain a professional relationship with Labournet staff to facilitate reciprocal business practices (e.g. Introductions & Referrals.)
Personal Development:
  • Ensure own competency and knowledge on system functionality, legislative requirements and changes, professional development (self-development) and career development are always maintained.
  • Attend various developmental activities and demonstrate understanding through competency assessments.
Employment Equity Compliance:
  • Managing training related expenditure, strategy, planning, implementation, execution, and record keeping within client base
  • Ensuring that consultative processes around skills development are implemented.
  • Conduct an analysis to determine training outcomes in line with the client's objectives as well as Sector Skills Plans and critical skills gaps within the specific industry/sector.
  • Development of a Workplace Skills Plan and the necessary consultation thereon
  • Ensure submission of the WSPATR to the relevant SETA
  • Apply for and secure discretionary grant funding for client base.
  • Oversee the implementation of training and recordkeeping.
  • Align the training and development of skills in an organization to match their needs in line with industry requirements and sector skills plans.
  • Channel clients' training identified through various sources e.g. WSP and ATR interventions to Labournet and affiliated partners and training network.
  • Act as a liaison between clients and training providers and the SETA's.
Project Planning and adherence:
  • Generate and implement visitation and delivery schedule for own clients
  • Adherence to schedules for service delivery and various projects
  • Planning of, attendance of and closing of appointments on a routine basis
  • All relevant client documents generated and uploaded on relevant document management system in line with company standards
Client Experience:
  • Ensure delivery of services occurs in a way that maintains client satisfaction
  • Deliver excellent service to obtain referrals and introductions from current clients to new clients
  • Delivery of service and professional communications that ensure client satisfaction with brand and product

Qualifications
You'll need a customer-first mindset and the following skills to succeed in this role:
  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Human Resources, Learning and Development, or related field.
  • SDF Certificate (advantageous)
  • Experience in the service industry (delivery of services to other businesses or business units) advantageous
  • Experience with WSP/ATR Submissions advantageous
  • Experience or involvement within the Education, Training and Development function of any organization advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Salary: R17850 CTC
