An opportunity exists at the Alliance Skills Development Services (ASDS) for 2 Training and Development Facilitators. The position reports to the Management of ASDS
Requirements:
A relevant tertiary qualification (NQF 6 Minimum)
Preferably National Diploma in Business Management or equivalent
At least 5 years' experience in Retail or Wholesale environment necessary
Facilitation experience for the following programmes is an add advantage:
o Generic Management NQF 4 and 5
o Wholesale Retail Operations NQF 2 and 3
o Visual Merchandising - 343203000
o Stock Control/ Store Person - 833402000
o Retail Supervisor - 522201000 o Retail Manager - 142103001
Knowledge of skills development and related legislation will be an advantage.
Excellent project management and customer service experience
Well skilled in MS Office 365, Zoom and MS Teams

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
Maintain accurate record keeping as per the ASDS Quality Management System
Provide accurate monthly and quarterly performance reports
Identify, report and mitigate risks within own area of work
Calendar Management: Managing your schedule, scheduling appointments, facilitation dates and meetings, and ensuring that all deadlines are met.
Travel Coordination: Coordinating travel arrangements for training sessions.
Communication Management: Handling phone calls, emails, and other correspondence, and drafting emails, reports, and presentations.
Administrative Support: Providing comprehensive administrative support, including filing, data entry, and organizing documents for the groups of learners you are responsible for
Project Management: Assisting with the planning, execution, and tracking of projects, and ensuring that all deliverables are met on time and within budget for all group you train
Confidentiality: Maintaining strict confidentiality and discretion in all matters related to the business
Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, learners, team members and employees.
Miscellaneous Tasks: Undertaking ad-hoc tasks as required, such as conducting research, preparing presentations, and running errands.
Plan, prepare and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences
Develop schemes of work and lesson plans
Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities with learners
Prepare classroom for class activities
Provide a variety of learning materials and resources for use in educational activities
Identify and select different instructional resources and methods to meet students' varying needs
Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment
Use relevant technology to support instruction
Observe and evaluate student's performance and development
Marking class work, homework, tests and assignments
Provide appropriate feedback on work to learners and management
Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students
Maintain accurate and complete records of students' progress and development
Update all necessary records accurately and completely as required in line with ASDS Policies and Procedures.
Prepare required reports on students progress
Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures
Maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of ASDS
Apply appropriate disciplinary measures where necessary
Provide student support, counselling students with academic problems and providing student encouragement
Participate in ASDS meetings.
Communicate necessary information regularly to students, ASDS Project Manager and WRSETA
Representative regarding student progress and student needs
Keep up to date with developments in subject area, teaching resources and methods and make relevant changes to instructional plans and activities (Responsible for own personal development)
