Our client, a prestigious 5-star safari lodge, is recruiting an experienced Trails Field Guide and Front of House professional -- ideally a couple -- to join their team. The successful candidates will be responsible for delivering world-class guest experiences, ensuring operational excellence, and maintaining the highest standards of safety, service, and professionalism.



The ideal duo will bring a passion for the bush, genuine hospitality, and the ability to work seamlessly together in a small, close-knit team environment.



Key Responsibilities



Front of House



Oversee guest check-ins, hosting, and front-of-house operations.



Maintain communication with housekeeping, kitchen, and guiding teams.



Manage administrative tasks, including billing and guest correspondence.



Deliver personalised guest experiences with warmth and professionalism.



Support management with stock control, reporting, and daily operations.



Trails Field Guide



Conduct walking safaris and game drives in line with legal and safety regulations.



Provide engaging, informative, and ethical wildlife experiences.



Maintain lodge vehicles, rifles, and guiding equipment.



Ensure guest safety and comfort during all guided activities.



Uphold the lodge's conservation and guest service values at all times.



Front of House



Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a 5-star safari lodge front-of-house role.



Grade 12 / Matric qualification (hospitality diploma advantageous).



Valid driver's licence.



Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.



Professional, reliable, and guest-service oriented.



Trails Field Guide



Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a similar position within a luxury lodge.



FGASA Level 2 - Full Trails Guide qualification (essential).



Valid DEAT, First Aid, Advanced Rifle Handling, PDP, and SAPS Competency.



Clear criminal record and compliance with all legal requirements.



Passion for the bush, conservation, and guiding excellence.



Package & Benefits

Field Guide Salary:

R15,000 CTC per month (dependent on experience)

Front of House Salary:

R10,500 CTC per month (dependent on experience)

7.5% contribution to provident fund



50% contribution to medical aid (for both)



Live-in accommodation



Meals on duty



Uniform provided

Work Cycle:

6 weeks on / 2 weeks off
