About Us:

We are a fast-growing logistics and transport solutions company, committed to keeping our fleet in top condition. We are looking for a skilled and reliable Trailer Mechanic to join our team. This is a new role in the company, offering the successful candidate the opportunity to set the standard and take ownership of trailer maintenance.

Role Overview:

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing trailers, with a strong focus on tyre fitting and overall tyre maintenance. This role requires hands-on experience, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently under pressure to keep our fleet safe and operational.

Key Responsibilities:

Inspect, service, and repair trailers to ensure roadworthiness. Fit, replace, and repair tyres on trailers. Diagnose mechanical and technical issues and perform corrective action. Carry out preventative maintenance on trailers and report potential issues. Maintain accurate records of repairs and parts used. Assist with other workshop tasks as needed to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Trailer Mechanic. Experience in tyre fitting, replacement, and repairs. Knowledge of trailer systems (brakes, suspension, electrical, etc.). Ability to manage own workload and work independently. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Physically fit and able to perform hands-on mechanical work. Driver's license (Code 14 with PDP advantageous).
