Job Description
Senior Trader to join a dynamic team in Lichtenburg.
As a Senior Grain Trader: Oilseeds, you will work closely with the Grain Marketing Division, managing the profitable buying and selling of oilseeds, oil and grain while contributing to the continued success in the agricultural sector.
Responsible for managing transactions, hedging grain stock, and providing guidance to clients regarding hedging and pricing strategies within the Grain Trading Department.
Gather and interpret market information to formulate market insights and liaise with producers, buyers, traders, and silo staff.
Main responsibilities:
- Managing the Grain Trading Department to ensure profitable trading of oilseeds, oil, and grain.
- Overseeing logistics related to transaction execution.
- Advising clients on hedging and pricing strategies.
- Collecting, analysing, and interpreting market data to develop and communicate market views.
- Liaising with producers, buyers, other traders, and silo staff.
- Handling customer enquiries.
- Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum of 5 years' relevant experience in Safex trading.
