SECURITY SECTOR CO-ORDINATOR/ORGANISER



Area: Western Cape (based in Cape Town) 1 Year Fixed Term Contract

The University and Allied Workers Union (UAWU) is looking for an Security Sector Co-Ordinator/ Organiser in Western Cape, to join its team of organisers across the country. The main role of an organiser is to recruit and service members and assist the Union in serving its vast membership and ensure compliance within the regulatory framework of The Private Security Industry.

An Organiser must have:

Matric

Minimum of 3 years experience of Organising, servicing and recruiting within the cleaning and security sector

Minimum of 35 members recruited per month and incentive based recruitment remuneration.

Computer literacy (Excel and Word)

Good knowledge of LRA, BCEA, EEA, OHSA, Security Collective Agreement and Department of Labour Compliance process and complaints process

Ability to handle cases from Company grievance level up to CCMA.

Good communication skills ie email, whatsapp, teleconference

Good interpersonal skills

Good numeracy skills

The ability to work under pressure and to be a team-player

The ability to work under minimal supervision and paying attention to detail

Valid Code 08 driver's license (NB!!! None Negotiable)

Ability to submit monthly drafted reports to the Secretary on activities

Basic plus incentives offered



Job Types: Full-time, Temp to perm
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: R5000,00 - R6500,00 per month

Work Location: In person
