Job Description


Prepare, monitor, track and validate manual trades for structured/complex products to identify, investigate and resolve exceptions, effectively manage data and to ensure that trades can be effectively settled.

License to Operate:

  • Operational excellence Identify and report operational incidents and issues internally to ensure delivery of high-quality service.
  • Process and service trades Process, track and verify events on trades to ensure clients receive their entitlements and contractual and regulatory requirements are met and manage and mitigate risk.
  • Identify, receive, investigate and resolve queries, exceptions, breaks Intermediate where required to investigate and resolve simple and complex vanilla trade queries, exceptions and breaks to facilitate successful settlement within set deadlines and meet regulatory obligations.
  • Monitor and action relevant trade expiries in terms of process / standards or notify relevant trading desk to facilitate accuracy of PnL (Profit Loss), keep clients and Desks informed, and ensure accurate and timeous payment / settlement.
  • Stakeholder Engagement Establish relevant internal and external stakeholder relationships and gather required and / or missing data, information and documents to effectively resolve and manage escalations, queries and exceptions.
  • Value Chain Integration Provide data driven insights to improve the Trade Support and greater Operations value chain efficiencies and optimize service delivery.
  • Book and allocate structured / complex trades executed by Global Markets Trading Desks on the relevant systems to enable downstream operational functions to accurately track, validate, confirm and settle trades within set market deadlines, meet contractual and regulatory obligations and manage and mitigate risk.
  • Validate structured / complex trades, identify and flag discrepancies and escalate where required to verify accuracy of information and identify and report systemic trends and behaviors to facilitate speedy remediation and mitigate risk.
  • Set up new / existing instruments Set up structured / complex instruments based on trader instruction to facilitate the booking, allocation and administration of the trade throughout its lifecycle.
Data:
  • Client Data Management Intermediate across stakeholders to facilitate the maintenance of complete, current and accurate client data associated with structured / complex trades to support the accurate and timeous processing and settlement of trades.
  • Market Data Management Update and maintain market data on relevant systems for structured / complex trades to facilitate the maintenance and generation of relevant reports to keep the Global Markets Desks and clients informed and mitigate risk to Global Markets Desks.
Product:
  • Product Support Enablement Provide inputs to facilitate articulation of Trade Support requirements (product and system considerations) to ensure the effective operation of new product development and smooth activations / implementations.
Risk, Regulatory, Prudential Compliance
  • Adhere to all relevant controls, policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions to ensure work is carried out to the required standard and in a consistent manner thereby minimizing risk.
  • Identify and report incidents.
  • Reporting and Management Information Contribute to relevant reports and management information by accurately recording verifying and correcting data on the relevant systems.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Business Commerce
Other Minimum Qualifications, certifications or professional memberships:
  • ACI and
  • RPE Exams
Post Graduate Degree:
  • Finance and Accounting
Experience Required:
  • Advanced experience in the Trade Lifecycle
  • (structured products / equities with complexity) in a Global Markets environment
Investment Banking:
  • Proficient knowledge and understanding of trading environment for structured products / instruments traded as well as manual process complexity and trading systems.
Technology Operations:
  • Proficient technology experience and the ability to quickly master desk specific systems, software and processes
