Job Advert Summary

Responsible for safe and correct use, operation and maintenance of agriculture / horticulture related tool and plant.

Minimum Requirements

o Grade 12 and or related NQF Level 4 o 3 years' experience with tractor o 2 years' experience using a broad range of Agricultural/ Horticultural implements and tractor drawn equipment o A valid Code 10 (C1) driver's license and ability to pass Rand Water's K53 test.

Primary Duties

o Use of specialized tractor drawn equipment. E.g. Wood Chipper, Bailer, Stump grinder etc. o Load and offload goods, refuse waste etc.o Responsible for the separation of waste using the correct securing process o Dirt roads - decide where/what spoil to fill with o Grading and leveling o Best practice in handling and operating assets o Daily/Weekly tractor and implement checklists and approved maintenance o Correct filling of logs books and checklists o Undertake senior Gardener work when no tractor /work is availableo Fire breaks - operate related fire fighting /preventation equipmento Able to undertake all manual and machinery (T &P) work of senior Gardner of the site. o Use of all tractor mounted equipment e.g. slasher, ripper, disk, scrapper, subsoil boom sprayer etc.o Grading and leveling o Correct cleaning of tractor and implements and drawn implements o Street sweeping - correct operating of related equipment. o Chemical application - Chemical type and collaboration decided by supervisor. o Mixing rates and calibration under supervision.

Knowledge

o Basic knowledge of fire fighting o Basic knowledge of first aid o Basic SHE knowledge on all related functionso Operators license
