JOB OPPORTUNITY: TOWN PLANNER (60-MONTH CONTRACT

Contract Duration: 60 Months

Location: South Africa (national travel may be required)

Salary: R75 000 - R150 000 per month (based on experience)

AllNetwork is seeking a skilled and driven Town Planner to join our dynamic team on a long-term contract basis. The ideal candidate will support strategic planning, permitting, and development compliance for a range of telecommunications infrastructure projects across the country.

Key Responsibilities

Lead development planning submissions across municipalities and provinces

Prepare and submit all required land-use applications, rezoning requests, and environmental documentation

Provide professional guidance on spatial planning, zoning laws, and municipal requirements

Engage with stakeholders including municipal officials, property owners, and internal engineering teams

Conduct site assessments and advise on planning feasibility

Ensure compliance with legislation including SPLUMA and municipal bylaws

Monitor and track application progress and manage approvals through to completion

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Town/Urban & Regional Planning (Honours advantageous)

Registered or eligible for registration with SACPLAN

Minimum 3-5 years' professional experience

Strong understanding of national, provincial, and municipal planning frameworks

Proven experience engaging with government and regulatory bodies

Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel
