Job Description
Are you a sports and data lover with a passion for planning and analysis? Our client, a clothing retailer, is looking for a Junior Retail Planner with strong analytical skills to join their team. Reporting to the Divisional head, you'll get to work with some of South Africa's leading sporting, outdoor and athleisure brands while taking ownership of planning, executing and analysing product demand, margins and ranges.
Responsibilities
- Drive the planning and management processes for relevant brand/product ranges.
- Provide Strategic Input on product ranges.
- Provide analytical data in support of seasonal product and range development.
- Assist with risk assessment and mitigations.
- Monitor and forecast sales trends, inventory levels, and customer preferences.
- Develop and implement merchandising strategies and plans for various product categories and channels.
- Prepare and present reports and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
Qualifications: A Degree in Commerce or Business Science, preferably with a major in Statistics, Economics, or Logistics.
Experience: 1 - 2 years of experience in merchandise planning, buying, or allocation in the sports retail industry.
Additional: o Proficiency in Excel, SQL and other data analysis tools. o Experience in any ERP Planning software will be advantageous. o Excellent communication, presentation and problem-solving skills.
