A prestigious turnkey engineering solutions company based in Saxenburg Park, Cape Town seeks to employ an experienced

Tower hand and Rigger

to join our dynamic and growing team in Cape Town.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Perform

preventative and scheduled maintenance

on

diesel and petrol

vehicles.

-

Installation:

Erect and install mast structures and wall mount brackets. Install antennas, cabling, radios, and other equipment on towers.

-

Maintenance:

Inspecting, repairing, and replacing tower equipment and structures to ensure proper functionality and longevity.

-

Call Outs:

Respond to call outs and performing repairs in the event of equipment failure.

-

Team Leading:

Lead and guide team to fulfil tasks set out for the day/week and month. Provide regular updates and feedback.

OHSA:

Ensure safety file is updated and team complies to OHSA requirements.

-

Driving:

Ensure team travel to and from site in a safe and efficient manner.

-

Policies and Procedures:

Ensure team complies to company policies and procedures.

-

QC:

Quality checks daily on works performed.

-

Fault Finding and Solutions:

Identify faults and provide recommendations to possible solutions.

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Installation:

When mast works are not available to be flexible to work in other fields as per schedule.

Maintenance:

When mast works are not available to be flexible to work in other fields as per schedule.

Call Outs:

When mast works are not available to be flexible to work in other fields as per schedule.

Vehicles:

Upkeep of vehicles.

-

Facilities:

Facility related works when required.

EXPERIENCE AND CERTIFICATION:

- Fall Arrest: Valid Certification and minimum 5 years' experience

- HIRA: Valid Certification

- SHE REP: Valid Certification

- First Aid: Valid Certification

- Fire Fighting: Valid Certification

- Rigging: Valid Certification and minimum 3 years' experience

- Rope Access: Beneficial

- Driver's License: Valid Driver's License
