Job Description

Overview

The purpose of the job is to support the development process by supporting the software and firmware development with testing and validation according to specifications and providing written feedback to the development team. To create software and firmware testing documentation, including scoping of test procedures. To assist in hardware testing, including routine functional testing, and documentation of test methods. To support production with software documentation, rollout, and training. To support production with field failure analysis, including testing and reporting.

Qualifications

Certification in software testing methodologies and principles

Advantageous Requirements:

Bachelor degree in Computer Science OR Information Technology OR software Engineering OR any other degree related to the Technology field

Experience

Basic knowledge of software testing principles: Understanding of testing methodologies; Familiarity with testing tools: Exposure to manual and automated testing tools (like Selenium, JIRA, or Postman for API testing) would be an advantage; Programming knowledge: Basic understanding of programming languages may be required for automated testing; Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC): Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall models; Bug tracking systems: Experience or knowledge of bug tracking tools (e.g., DevOps); Create and maintaining automated testing scenario

Duties

Software & Hardware:

Understand the requirements through reviewing user stories, wireframes and specifications to understand testable conditions. Prepare relevant and realistic test data. End-to-end testing of an Android mobile application. End-to-end testing of an iOS mobile application. Log and track defects on DevOps with executed test evidence (screenshots, logs, etc). Performance and load testing knowledge. Use hardware equipment to validate and test the software.

Reports and Documentation:

Design and document test scenarios and test cases. Maintain test documentation.
