Test Engineer
An IT Test Engineer is responsible for designing and executing manual and automated tests, analyzing test results, and reporting defects.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Requirement Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders, developers, and business analysts to understand the software requirements and specifications.
- Test Planning: Develop comprehensive test plans and strategies, outlining the testing scope, approach, resources, and schedules.
- Test Design: Create detailed test cases and test scenarios based on the requirements and use cases.
- Test Automation: Develop and maintain automated test scripts to enhance test efficiency and coverage.
- Test Execution: Execute test cases, record results, and document defects using issue tracking systems.
- Performance Testing: Conduct performance and load testing to evaluate system performance under different conditions.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify areas of improvement in testing processes and tools, and implement best practices.
- Programming Languages: Proficiency in programming languages for test automation and scripting.
- Test Automation Tools: Familiarity with popular test automation frameworks and tools like Selenium, Appium, or JUnit.
- Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Understanding of CI/CD pipelines to integrate automated testing into the development process.
- Database Management: Knowledge of SQL for database testing and data manipulation
