POSITION: Contract: 01 October 2025 - 31 December 2027
EXPERIENCE: 2-4 years related experience (testing role preferred) + ISTQB Qualification
COMMENCEMENT: 01 October 2025
LOCATION: Hybrid: Midrand/Menlyn/Rosslyn/Home Office rotation
TEAM: Supplier Recourse/Group Quality Management systems/Quality intelligence
Qualifications/Experience

• Degree, preferably in Information Technology, Engineering or related discipline or equivalent 5 years professional experience (Required)
• 2 years experience in bespoke software development ideally in testing role (Required)
• ISTQB Qualification (Required)
• South African citizens/residents preferred; valid work permit holders considered

• Test Case Design and comprehensive test planning
• Test Case Execution and validation processes
• Business requirements Analysis and documentation
• Problem-solving skills and analytical thinking
• Test management, testing methodologies and tools
• SQL Language and Database experience
• Automation Testing frameworks and implementation
• Jira and Confluence experience for project management
• SDLC Methodology: Agile, Scrum, Kanban or XP
• Any additional responsibilities assigned in the Agile Working Model (AWM) Charter

Advantageous Skills Requirements

• Knowledge of data modelling and data visualisation tools
• Data Manipulation and Transformation capabilities
• Knowledge of software development languages, frameworks, and methodologies
• Understanding Java application architecture and design patterns
• Conducting of training sessions and knowledge transfer
• Compiling training documentation and manuals
• Written and oral communication and presentation skills
• Project management skills and coordination
• Log analysis and troubleshooting capabilities

Role Requirements

• Quality Assurance: Defect logging, tracking and verification ensuring high-quality software delivery
• Test Management: Defect analysis and measures, mapping test cases and creation of comprehensive test cases
• Requirements Analysis: Identifying gaps in acceptance criteria and assist with user acceptance criteria development
• Test Automation: Create and maintain automation scripts using various testing tools and frameworks
• Validation & Testing: Testing and validation of user stories and tasks within agile development cycles
• Solution Coordination: Coordinate and participate in test effort and troubleshooting to ensure delivered solutions meet agreed technical requirements and functional specifications
• End-to-End Analysis: Analyse and understand end-to-end application flow to support architecture and consider all touchpoints when analysing business requirements or changes
• Optimization: Identify and promote optimisation, re-use and standardisation opportunities within Group Platforms
• Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain professional working relationships with all stakeholders, displaying excellent abilities to initiate dialogue, listen, advise, influence, and negotiate
• Team Collaboration: Engage and collaborate with teams on suitable solutions that meet requirements and satisfy business and architectural roadmap
• Integration Support: Engage and collaborate with various integration touchpoint teams and share business and technical requirements
• Operational Excellence: Support operational excellence goals through strong operations knowledge and resolve escalated support topics as part of tier-2/3 DevOps role
• Query Management: Assist with query and complaint management in a timeous manner
• Release Planning: Defining and implementing test plans for releases and deployment cycles
• Documentation: Assist the team to produce documentation for designed solutions and maintain quality standards
• AWM Responsibilities: Any additional responsibilities assigned in the Agile Working Model (AWM) Charter
