Our client is looking for a dedicated and experienced Tendering Engineer to join their team in the waste management sector. As a Tendering Engineer, you will play a critical role in securing and managing contracts for waste management projects. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop competitive and winning proposals. Responsibilities:

• Tender Management: Manage the end-to-end tendering process, from identifying opportunities to submission and negotiation of contracts.
• Proposal Development: Prepare comprehensive technical and commercial proposals that align with client requirements and company capabilities.
• Cost Estimation: Accurately calculate project costs, considering materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractors, to determine competitive pricing.
• Client Engagement: Maintain strong relationships with existing clients and identify opportunities to expand the client base.
• Technical Expertise: Provide technical support to the sales team by understanding waste management technologies, regulations, and industry trends.
• Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments for potential projects, identifying and mitigating potential issues.
• Contract Negotiation: Collaborate with legal and management teams to negotiate and finalize contracts.

• Waste Management Knowledge: Strong understanding of waste management processes, technologies, and regulations.
• Tendering Experience: Proven experience in tendering for waste management projects, including commercial and technical proposals.
• Cost Estimation: Proficiency in cost estimation and budgeting for waste management projects.
• Client Relationship Management: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build and maintain client relationships.
• Project Management: Ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
• Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable contract terms.
• Technical Aptitude: Familiarity with waste management equipment, systems, and technologies.

Qualifications:

• BSC Chemistry/Chemical Engineering/ Waste Management/ Environmental degree and Sales/ Marketing related qualification preferable or suitable qualification, with 8+ years experience specific to tendering TWM in the Industrial Waste Management.
• 3 + years Experience in the waste management industry with on site waste management.
• Knowledge of commercial terms.
• Computer literacy in the google workspace tools and experience with cloud computing, such as docusign Etc.
• Excellent organisation skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
