Job Summary Lead Mechanical Engineer Water & Waste Water Projects (POS23207) Centurion R 100 000.00 per month Job Purpose: Recruiting for a leading role on project development, design, and project management services. The candidate must specialise in water and waste-water treatment plant projects (refurbishments, upgrades and new built) and must have good process engineering knowledge. The role of the Lead Mechanical Engineer shall be to champion project life cycle management functions mainly by conducting plant assessments and audits, project coordination, project scope definition, designs and drawings, construction monitoring and supervision, quality assurance, and project administration. The candidate shall be able to work independently with minimal supervision and delivery the project such that it meets client objectives. Requirements MEng in Mechanical Engineering Advanced Project Management qualification Experience of more than 15 years of working experience in water treatment, waste-water treatment plants and pump stations More than 5 years of being a lead designer for water treatment plants, waste water treatment plants, pipe lines and pump stations. More than 10 years of Professional registration with ECSA Knowledge: Water and waste-water treatment process engineering Project lifecycle management Project planning Scope management Quality management Cost management Stakeholder management Risk management Excellent communication (Clear and effective written and verbal communication) Resources management Strong interpersonal skills Responsibilities: Conduct project development through plant assessments, audits, scope definition, designs, drawings and facilitate procurement and project initiation. Conduct fault finding investigations and develop remediation scope. Monitor day to day aspects of projects including quality of work, schedule, coordinating, client communications, and produce regular reports about project progress Work with various project stakeholders, specialists, and authorities. Maintain quality control and assurance, demonstrate technical excellence, apply quality management norms and standards, safety, and security. Write and compile project reports Facilitate project implementation and technical deliverables Conduct project administration Closing Date: 31 December 2023
