Reporting to the Senior Estimator and Construction Director, the candidate should:
Have at least 5 years in Tender compilation, Document Control or Secretarial field
Proficient with all aspects of MS Office
Advantage to have worked in bid compilation work
Have very good time management and able to work to strict deadlines
Be able to work flexible hours and overtime whenever required
Have impeccable integrity
The ability to work independently and unsupervised
Have their own transportation
Primary duties include the coordination of the entire tender process from receipt of the advertisement or enquiry until final submission and handover to the relevant contracts team. Some of the key duties include:
Management of Company tender schedule and ensuring bids are completed timeously
Coordinate collection of tender documents from potential clients
Coordination with various internal departments required to provide relevant inputs for the tender submission
Assistance with tender buying and technical information required to process quotations,
Ensure compliance through tender process by responding to all client/engineer correspondence timeously
Keep Senior Estimator updated on correspondence and relevant information necessary to ensure compliant bidding
Ensure tender documents are completed accurately and timeously
Maintain up to date library of company documentation required for tender submissions
Maintain accurate records and electronic copies of completed documents
Follow up on tenders submitted and maintain a database of submitted tenders
Maintain tender validities and ensure extensions timeously done
