8 years of experience within an Information Technology environment, of which:
3 years of experience in network design and administration, data centre operations, database administration, and systems programming and administration.
3 years in working with the RPA enabled, cloud based or on premise, and hybrid infrastructure environment.

Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field.
Certification in relevant Enterprise Architecture or Technology frameworks and methodologies.
Cloud certifications AWS or AZURE or GCP.
ISO27001 accreditation.

Support Technology Strategy & Innovation
Participate in the development and implementation of a Technology strategy and tactical plans aligned with the corporate strategy and goals.
Lead the development, planning and implementation of a functional Technology Infrastructure strategy, aligned to the Technology strategy and Roadmap.
Plan, prepare, and adapt functional strategies, budgets, and plans according to market, industry, and business trends.
Implement both tactical and strategic technology security strategies in collaboration with information security and business continuity management leadership.
Lead and guide in accordance with the SBV Infrastructure Roadmap, Information Security Frameworks, and leading industry best practices.
Manage the adoption, integration, and optimisation of existing cloud technologies and latest open-source technologies.

Planning and Organisation
Responsible for the technological infrastructure and networks across the SBV landscape, including migration planning and coordination with the respective teams. This includes developing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimising new and existing network hardware, software, and communication links.
Analyse the technology landscape and decide on the appropriate balance between cloud-based and on-premises solutions and hosting options, taking maturity levels, agility, quick response, security, and cost into account.
Identify and evaluate current and future infrastructure needs, using a Proof of Concept (POC) methodology to test and assess feasibility and benefits of the solution.
Deliver the desired architecture and systems that adhere to modern infrastructure security hygiene and best practices.

Execute Analysis and Design Activities
Identify opportunities to integrate, conduct scheduled inspections, and prepare design tests and experiments to enhance certainty in the management process and effective utilization of resources.
Design a state-of-the-art infrastructure landscape that accommodates and aligns with the new design solutions and influences business requirements to accelerate the use of modernised infrastructure that will deliver an agile ICT environment.
Research and recommend ways to consolidate, rationalize, and simplify the infrastructure based on assessing current opportunities to eliminate unnecessary complexity.
Develop business cases that outline alternative solutions to existing infrastructure and assist the business in making decisions.
Plan, implement, and monitor the development and enhancement of infrastructure projects, ensuring business continuity as the project progresses.

Technical implementation in own area
Determine the health and functionality of the network by defining, measuring, and meeting agreed key operational metrics.
Monitor and report on the health of the environment, identifying risk areas, planning, and implementing mitigation and risk reduction measures.
Identify, anticipate, and ensure the availability of service demand requirements for the business.
Define and document service demand, uptime, and backup requirements.
Implement security-related automation, machine learning, and artificial intelligence that can assist in securing assets (people, hardware, and software).
Responsible for all Technology assets, including forecasting lifespans, replacement values, and maximising their usage and full value.

Vendor Management
Manage vendor relationships with a clearly defined vendor management framework and set expectations in accordance with the approved scope of work.
Assist in the negotiation of contracts, the establishment of service level agreements (SLAs), and the monitoring and review of performance against the SLA.
Responsible for strategic vendors and suppliers who support the maintenance of infrastructure assets, network and database management deliver the agreed-upon value.

Stakeholder and Customer Management
Manage day-to-day operations across the team, continuously improving performance, cost, and satisfaction for the end user.
Enhance stakeholder engagement to address issues, improve relations, and provide information on project status.
Manage incident and problem management together with the operations team to meet SLA targets, and
Retain high customer standards, ensuring 99.9% uptime, resolution, or a new solution redesign.

Quality Management
Assist with the testing and implementation of emerging technologies and solutions in the cloud, automation, machine learning, analytics, and artificial intelligence space.
Establish standards of work to maintain consistency by ensuring processes and procedures are documented for a cohesive team.

Risk Management
Maintain and implement infrastructure security standards and measures to protect ICT assets from relevant security risks.
Perform physical security checks, maintenance internally or through vendors, managing changes, logging into systems, endpoint security, firewalls, and establishing governance controls.
Manage logical access control, internal control, data retention, data safeguarding, data archiving, backups, and disaster recovery.
Maintain clean audit results by conducting monthly self-assessments based on defined internal controls, anticipating and documenting risks, and reporting on gaps and mitigation activities.

Reporting
Provide weekly and monthly management and status reports on operational infrastructure availability, continuity, and capacity in accordance with key performance metrics.
Facilitate communication across business units, identify change management interventions and timelines from the project's perspective, and present the project status to the steering committee.

Finance
Responsible for the planning, and management of Technology Infrastructure budgets (OPEX and CAPEX).
Manage the budget in accordance with the financial parameters and standards of the projects/programmes.
Develop a business case to motivate and secure funding, and ensure the budget includes financial requirements.

Leadership and People Management
Manages the effective use of the departments resources to improve organisational productivity and delivery.
Provide Subject Matter Expertise in critical support issues where your experience is required to ascertain the issue quickly and to find the more appropriate resolution.
On a monthly basis, manage the headcount in accordance with principles and policies, including notifying HR of team cancellations, new business, and new initiatives.
Manage recruitment, performance management, training, career development programs, succession planning, resource planning, and HR processes across the team.
Lead and manage employees' end-to-end performance management process, inspire, and encourage your team to deliver on key performance areas, and provide the necessary support, coaching, and training.
Manage and lead the Talent Management Process within one's area of responsibility to create value for high-value contributors.
Comply with Human Resources/Employee Relations policies and procedures and applicable Labour Laws.
Drive employee training and development, ensuring employees are provided with refresher courses in conjunction with the Training Academy.
Draw up and conduct disciplinary hearings in accordance with labour law, statutory requirements and ER policies and procedures.

Lead as an Ambassador and Executor of Change
Provide continuity during times of change by serving as a change management architect.
Manage the integration of development into a seamless end-to-end customer experience.
Communicate and embed new processes and procedures effectively, addressing, or escalating concerns to SMEs.
Communicate consistently and accurately across one's area by facilitating presentations, workshops, or forums.
