About the role

As a Technology Business Consultant Specialist, you will be involved in Business analysis, product configuration, requirements gathering, testing. Will be working closely with clients & internal development teams to achieve project goals.

What you will be doing

To work as a member of the Professional services/ BA team in close co-operation with clients, systems development engineers as well as members of the business unit team. The job responsibilities would include:

• Working with internal teams, client teams, project managers, understand and analyze the clientxe2x80x99s requirements
• Documenting business systems requirements for business unit or function.
• Working with the client to configure the Compass application in terms of the clientxe2x80x99s requirements.
• Documenting the clientxe2x80x99s requirements in appropriately formatted business specifications.
• Assisting the Client Manager to obtain sign off on the requirements from the client.
• Presenting the clientxe2x80x99s requirements to the Design Team such that the requirements are fully understood.
• Participating in design sessions for development of new functionality.
• Participating in design sessions for the customization of existing functionality.
• Being fully responsible for ensuring that clientxe2x80x99s requirements are accurately reflected in the logical specifications produced by the Design Team.
• Assisting in the development of appropriate test plans, both at a functional level and a regression testing level, as required.
• Assisting the support analysts in resolving production issues as they arise.
• Providing input to design sessions when necessary.
• Assisting in the development of appropriate test plans, both at a functional level and a regression testing level, as required.
• Report on progress & manage activities as per plan
• Experience in testing life insurance product dealing with Policy administration system

What you bring

• 8 to 12 years of experience as business analyst in financial services industry with Business Analysis & testing experience.
• Strong business analysis knowledge working for Life insurance (Individual and Group) business.
• Technical Qualifications xe2x80x93 Familiarity with relational databases and technical skills such as SQL, Oracle, UNIX, Excel Macros would be considered a plus.
• Life Insurance Industry experience would be a plus.
• Knowledge of working with any Insurance Policy Administration System will be considered a plus.
• Excellent communication & analytics skills
• Excellent skills on requirement gathering and documentation.
• Knowledge of SDLC, requirement gathering techniques
• Insurance Domain certification like LOMA (ALMI or FLMI), Insurance Institute of India - Licentiate, Associate and Fellowship etc.
• Experience with Agile and Scrum
• Ability to work as part of a team as well as being individually motivated.
• Ability to set correct level expectations and deliver on those expectations.
• Good written and verbal communications and effective interpersonal skills.
• Proven self-starter with initiative to seek information and solve problems.
• Successful within multi-tasking environment.
• Excellent communicator xe2x80x93 ability to discuss technical and commercial solutions to internal and external parties and adapt depending on the technical or business focus of the discussion.
• Attention to detail xe2x80x93 track record of authoring high quality documentation.
• Organized approach xe2x80x93 manage and adapt priorities according to client and internal requirements.
• Self-starter but team mindset - work autonomously and as part of a global team
• Willing to travel occasionally (no more than 10%)
