Position: Technician Supervisor
Location: Bellville, Cape Town
Direct Report: Regional Manager
Requirements:

Matric / Grade 12 with Maths, Science, and English
N6 and/or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
Trade Test in an Engineering field
Basic Business Management Certificate
SACGA-accredited Gas Installer (preferred)
Minimum 10 years' experience in a heavy engineering/production environment, ideally in the gas or related industry
5+ years supervisory experience managing Technicians, Artisans, and Contractors
Experience in training and knowledge transfer within teams
Proven ability to engage with customers and suppliers at all levels
Strong knowledge of SHERQ management systems and ISO standards
Excellent planning, organisational, verbal, and written communication skills
Medically fit to work at heights
Valid Code 08 drivers licence and reliable vehicle
Willingness to travel and work overtime
Proficient in MS Office Suite

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise all engineering operations and projects across the Western and Eastern Cape
Ensure maintenance and project sections meet all legal and corporate standards
Oversee preventative and corrective maintenance schedules
Manage large-scale equipment refurbishments to reduce costs
Oversee technician training programmes and upskilling
Manage the execution of project work plans
Ensure high standards of workmanship during on-site installations and maintenance
Uphold SHERQ compliance and maintain ISO standards
Maintain the highest level of health and safety at all times
