Job Description

Omnia's Agriculture division, the market leader in southern Africa, comprises Omnia Fertilizer and Omnia Specialities. The division produces granular, liquid and speciality fertilizers for a broad customer base of farmers, co-operatives and wholesalers throughout southern and East Africa, Australia, New Zealand and Brazil. The division is expanding its influence in Europe, South America and Asia, where it is increasing its sales of speciality products. The Omnia Agriculture division's range of specialised products and services are encompassed by its unique Nutriology offering, which assists customers to optimise crop yield and quality.
Qualifications
Matric (with Mathematics, not Maths Literacy)
Experience
1-2 years' relevant experience - Must have farming background.
Duties

Apply fertilizer to area
Calibration of Fertilizer and Ammonia
Assist with precision farming
Draw soil samples, water samples and Leaf samples
Calibration of equipment

Job Competencies

Attention to detail
Computer literate
MS Office
Ability to operate equipment
Excellent language skills (verbal and written)
Good grasp of the concepts of "client needs" and "adding value".
Drivers License and can be able to drive with a trailer.
Will be working with hazardous material, so need to be safety equipped, and understanding of risks involved.
Good communication skills - ability to receive, interpret and execute instructions and assignments.
Self discipline and responsibility to take care and maintain equipment.
