Department
You will be part of the Europe, Middle East and Africa Region Team based at our facility at Chloorkop. By joining this team, you will have the chance to work in an international environment involving different cultures and different challenges.
Requirements:

  • Trade qualification as either; Fitter or Fitter and Turner
  • Must be registered with NAMB and the SETA as an Assessor and Moderator
  • Must have at least 3 years management experience with apprenticeships and learnerships in Heavy Engineering
  • Accreditation Experience with SETA and QCTO as well as their administration requirements
  • Experience with Health & Safety, Reading of drawings. Measuring Instruments, Hand Tools. Materials, Couplings, drives, Welding, lubrication, gearboxes, valves and bearings
  • Extensive hydraulic/ pneumatic knowledge. Intermediate Microsoft Office.
  • CNC experience (would be advantageous).
Key Role:
  • Develop and updating technical training material for apprenticeship program and specific product training. Conduct assessments and moderation on both apprentice training and Trade Testing. Develop practical and theory assessments. Align programmes with NAMB, MERSETA & QCTO requirements.
  • Manage, maintain and provide tooling, equipment and PPE. Setting training plans and schedules. Ensure all material and tooling requirements are available and manage the system.
  • Revise theory and practical training material to SETA & QCTO requirements .
  • Understanding of the Apprentice environment
  • Facilitation of modules for apprentices and customer training
  • Assisting with SETA and institutional accreditation
