Management of all hospital facilities, clinical infrastructure and assets.
Management of all staff in the Technical Department.
Management of contractor performance and facility support services
Implementation and keeping abreast with Group Policy and Procedures to manage and maintain the hospital facilities and assets.
Management of risks related to Hospital Technical infrastructure and assets related to all plant and equipment (clinical and non-clinical).
Project Management of all small building / facility projects
Financial and budget responsibility/management for the Technical Services Department including the management of all departmental purchases and expenditure
Safety custodian of all projects at the facility.
Ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and other related legislation.
Quality and safety assurance during and after completion of contracts.
N6 National Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
Trade tested Artisan (with N6)
Qualification that will provide the ability to act as xe2x80x9cthe competent personxe2x80x9d as described in the Occupational Health & Safety Act would be advantageous.
Member of the South African Federation of Hospital Engineers ( SAFHE ) or Clinical Engineering Association of South Africa ( CEASA ) would be an advantage
Work Experience
Previous experience in financial budgeting.
A minimum of 3-5 years relevant technical and managerial experience in a hospital / FMCG/Manafacturing industry.
Experience in both electrical and mechanical environments in related industries as specified.
