Our client is seeking an experienced Technical Sales Representative that will be based in the Eastern Cape with the focus area being, but not limited to, the Sundays River Valley.
xc2xb7 The focus being to manage the companies business in the market and to help execute strategies for the designated areas.
xc2xb7 The incumbent will pursue annual sales targets set for key distribution agents, customers, crops, varieties, and current products and will assist in introducing new products into the designated areas.
xc2xb7 Administration (area budgeting, forecasting and reporting, support of sales operations including depot and stock management, documentation etc)
xc2xb7 Sales & Relationship Management: Managing relationships with agents and industry stakeholders, growing agent network.
xc2xb7 In orchard applications of specific products.
Requirements
xc2xb7 Grade 12
xc2xb7 Bachelors Degree (B.Sc.) or National Diploma in Agriculture will be advantageous.
xc2xb7 AVCASA / BASOS certification with practical experience of crop protection will be advantageous. Candidates will be required to obtain AVCASA if employed.
xc2xb7 Min 3 to 5 years experience in agricultural sales and marketing as well as technical expertise.
xc2xb7 Knowledge of the export fruit industry value chain and the influence of phytosanitary pests, plant diseases and maximum residual levels in this industry.
xc2xb7 Willing to travel extensively
xc2xb7 Valid drivers license (Code B min)
xc2xb7 Computer skills, especially Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, Word etc, and GIS skills is an advantage)
