Job Description

Main Purpose of the Job:
The Identity Management business unit at NEC XON is seeking a Technical Pre-Sales Engineer to design, position, and support biometric and facial recognition solutions for clients. The role involves engaging with customers to understand requirements, crafting tailored solutions, and ensuring smooth transitions from pre-sales to delivery.
Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with customers to understand business and technical requirements.
  • Design end-to-end biometric identity solutions aligned with customer needs.
  • Prepare technical proposals, solution designs, and client presentations.
  • Conduct product demonstrations, proof-of-concepts, and solution workshops.
  • Provide technical input for RFP/RFI responses.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Product, and Delivery teams to ensure seamless handover to implementation.
  • Ensure solutions meet security, privacy, and compliance standards.
Knowledge & Experience
  • 3+ years in Technical Pre-Sales, Solutions Engineering, or a related role.
  • Experience with biometric and/or identity systems, including:
  • Facial recognition
  • Fingerprint, iris, and liveness detection
  • Deduplication
  • Familiarity with software components of identity solutions.
  • Solid understanding of APIs, integration, and IAM protocols (OAuth, SAML, OIDC).
  • Strong presentation, communication, and client-facing skills.
  • Relevant IT/Engineering qualification or equivalent practical experience.
