The Role

We are seeking a

Technical Mechanical Engineer / Technician

to join our production team. This hands-on role is critical to ensuring that our compactor trucks and lifting equipment are built to the highest standards of safety, reliability, and performance.

Key Responsibilities

Interpret and apply

mechanical engineering drawings

in a production environment. Read and troubleshoot

electrical schematics

and

hydraulic circuit diagrams

. Provide technical support to the manufacturing and assembly line. Ensure quality control and compliance with engineering specifications. Collaborate with design, production, and service teams to resolve technical challenges. Assist with testing, commissioning, and fault-finding on completed vehicles.

Requirements

Diploma/Degree in

Mechanical Engineering

or related technical qualification. Strong knowledge of

manufacturing processes

and workshop practices. Ability to interpret and work confidently with

mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic drawings

. Practical hands-on problem-solving ability. Minimum of 3 years' relevant experience in vehicle, truck, or heavy equipment manufacturing (waste trucks, lifting equipment, or hydraulics preferred). Computer literacy (CAD exposure advantageous). ECSA registration or eligibility (advantageous).
