Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Technical Lead for our L2 Server Support team, specializing in Server and Virtualization (S&V). The successful candidate will be responsible for providing advanced technical support for server and virtualization environments, resolving escalated issues, and leading a team of L2 support engineers. This role requires a strong technical background in server hardware, operating systems, and virtualization technologies, as well as excellent leadership and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and mentor a team of L2 Server Support engineers, providing technical guidance and support.
Act as an escalation point for complex technical issues related to server and virtualization environments.
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues on physical and virtual servers.
Manage and maintain the virtualization infrastructure, including VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V.
Perform regular maintenance tasks, including patching, updates, and performance tuning.
Monitor server and virtualization environments to ensure high availability and performance.
Create and maintain technical documentation, including standard operating procedures and knowledge base articles.
Collaborate with other IT teams to resolve cross-functional issues and implement new solutions.
Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours support.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Proven experience in a senior server support or technical lead role.
Strong knowledge of server operating systems (Windows Server, Linux).
In-depth experience with virtualization technologies (VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V).
Experience with server hardware from major vendors (e.g., Dell, HP).
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Relevant certifications (e.g., VCP, MCSA) are highly desirable.
