Role: Technical Lead: Developer
Location: Fully office based in Cape Town CBD
Details: This is a permanent consultancy appointment. The role carries a monthly remuneration, however payment is conditional on services rendered (no work, no pay).
Our client is a global leader in email signature management software, trusted by organisations worldwide. They are headquartered in New Zealand, and are now expanding their development footprint into South Africa. Their goal is to establish a high-calibre local team, starting with an experienced Technical Lead to lay the foundation. This is an exciting role where you can shape the new SA team, where you can learn and problem solve with global teams and help to successfully grow the business.
Responsibilities :

• Review and provide feedback on pull requests (backend: .NET C#; frontend: Angular)
• Triage and resolve issues that occur outside NZ business hours
• Contribute to product and system architecture decisions
• Drive best practices and engineering standards
• Mentor and lead new SA-based developers as the team scales
• Assist with DevOps and infrastructure direction (Kubernetes and Azure)

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional development experience (.NET C# preferred)
• Tertiary qualification in Computer Science or Engineering
• Strong understanding of modern architecture and design patterns
• Angular or similar frontend experience
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, containers, and Azure
• Proven team leadership or mentoring experience
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Self-driven, proactive mindset with a passion for clean, maintainable code
