As the Technical Lead in Clinical Pathology, you are entrusted with ensuring the smooth, high-performing operation of the laboratory. You will guide a team of skilled professionals, ensuring that daily operations run efficiently and that every process supports accurate, timely, and reliable results. Role Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must hold a relevant Medical Technology qualification or certification, along with current registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA). These credentials are essential to uphold the professional and regulatory standards expected in this leadership position. You bring at least three years of hands-on experience as a Medical Technologist, Medical Technician, or Medical Laboratory Scientist within a pathology laboratory. Your background reflects a solid foundation in laboratory operations, and you are ready to step into a role where your expertise will shape both people and processes.

Skills Requirements

You possess an advanced understanding of pathology test procedures, instrumentation, and methodologies. Your theoretical knowledge is matched by practical insight into HPCSA, SANAS, and occupational health regulations. You are comfortable navigating systems such as Meditech and Microsoft Office, and you understand the importance of compliance with employment legislation. Beyond technical skills, you are a capable people leader--motivating, developing, and guiding your team to perform at their best. Your ability to manage budgets and resources effectively adds further value to your leadership.
