"Technical Draughtsman"

ABOUT THE JOB

Develop accurate and detailed drawings (2D and 3D), blueprints, and schematics using CAD software like AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Inventor. Liaise with Artisans to capture their thoughts, ideas and concepts in the technical drawings. Issuing of the detailed designs to the Artisans, along with job cards and communicating the job specifications effectively to the appointed person(s). Conduct regular quality control checks during the fabrication process with appointed Artisans. Support the manufacturing team with design-related queries. Modify existing drawings based on feedback, site conditions, or changes in project scope. Ensure all updates are accurately documented. Manage a detailed priority list / handbook of design work to ensure that the production output is aligned with the project schedule. Conduct final inspection of components and sign-off. Provide technical inputs and insights to apply to the conceptual ideas of Artisans to improve designs, manufacturing quality and production success.

Groot Drakenstein, Cape Winelands, Western Cape, South Africa.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Min 10 years' in same or similar role. Min 5 years' experience on SolidWorks. Work independently and within a team. Maintain and manage healthy relationships within own team and across teams. Effective Self Management: Responsible for managing own work performance and completing tasks as per set timelines and standards. Attention to detail. Own transport.
