Step into the engine room of modern accounting operations. As a Technical Automation Specialist, you'll architect, build, and maintain automation systems that power high-performing US accounting teams.


You'll streamline workflows, connect platforms, eliminate repetitive work, and introduce practical AI-powered enhancements that make busy accounting teams faster, smarter, and more accurate.

About the Role

You'll work closely with US accounting leaders to map processes, design integrations, and build production-ready automations across tools like Karbon, QuickBooks, Gusto, Slack, Salesforce, PandaDoc, and more.


You will not be creating prototypes--you'll be deploying automations that real firms rely on. Expect a mix of integration logic, API troubleshooting, workflow design, and light AI-based automation support.


This role blends technical skill, structured thinking, documentation excellence, and crisp communication.

What You'll Do

Design, build, and maintain automated workflows using Zapier, n8n, and/or Make (Integromat) Connect and integrate accounting systems (QuickBooks, Karbon, Gusto, PandaDoc, Salesforce, etc.) with business applications Support AI-enabled automations (OpenAI/Claude API calls, prompt-based processing, text classification/parsing) Troubleshoot automation failures, webhook behavior, authentication issues, and REST API connections Document every build clearly using internal templates, diagrams, and Loom walkthroughs Collaborate with US accounting teams to identify process gaps and automation opportunities Test and validate automations for reliability, scale, error handling, and edge cases Maintain organized records of workflows, assets, and technical notes Provide weekly progress updates, notes, and improvement recommendations

Qualifications

2+ years experience in automation building, API integration, or technical systems support Strong understanding of data flow, triggers, filters, and automation logic Comfortable working with JSON, webhook structures, and REST API endpoints Excellent English communication--clear documentation + professional client-facing messaging Highly organized, reliable, and detail-focused Proactive communicator who flags blockers early Good understanding of secure data handling practices

Nice-to-Have:

Experience supporting accounting or finance workflows Exposure to AI-driven automation (API calls, summarization, parsing) Portfolio of automation builds

Work Hours & Requirements

Remote position with 4-5 hours minimum overlap with 9am-5pm EST Reliable high-speed internet (minimum 25 Mbps) Backup connectivity/power preferred Professional workspace suitable for client calls Comfortable on Zoom, Slack, Google Meet, Loom
