Job Purpose
The setup, configuration and operation of audio-visual systems for CPUT events and venues.


Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Matric with a minimum of 2-years' audio-visual technician experience working in the technical event industry with particular experience in the setup, operation, configuration and troubleshooting of audio, lighting and video systems for events.


Key Performance Areas / Principal Accountabilities
Setup, configuration and Operation of audio-visual equipment (sound, lighting and projection), cameras, vision mixers and livestreaming encoders. Basic maintenance and repairs of audio-visual equipment Equipment inventory control and storeroom management, equipment condition reporting Equipment needs and booking trends identification Scheduling of jobs and duties Competencies
Knowledge of audio-visual systems Good organizational skills Accuracy and attention to detail Ability to work as part of a team and independently in a high-pressure environment The ability to take briefs from client departments and translate these briefs into technical requirements Working knowledge of Final Cut Pro, Sony video cameras or Adobe Premiere Working knowledge of lighting software programming Knowledge of Setting up and operation of live video streaming equipment Customer Focus General Information
