Introduction

Multi Green (Pty) Ltd is a fertilizer mixing plant in Villiers in the Eastern Free State, partly owned by VKB Landbou (Pty) Ltd since 2019. Since 2005 Multi Green specializes in the precision mixing and distribution of liquid as well as granular fertilizer. The company is well established and well known in the farming community and the fertilizer sector.



The Technical and Marketing manager is responsible for the effective communication & promotion of Multi Greenxe2x80x99s products whilst ensuring the quality and effectiveness thereof.

Requirements

• Relevant B.Sc./ B.Agric degree (Agriculture/ Agronomy etc.)
• Professional registration with SACNASP will serve as recommendation
• 5 xe2x80x93 8 yearsxe2x80x99 experience within the fertiliser industry
• Computer literate in MS Office programs

Duties & Responsibilities

Marketing

• Interact and build relationships/network with people in the industry.
• Make recommendations regarding branding of the products.
• Measure product performance.
• Conduct product training if and when required.
• Assess the various marketing material regularly and make additions and/or corrections.
• Draw up a comprehensive marketing plan that includes amongst others targeted markets, targeted customers and marketing platforms.
• Draw up financial budget for the marketing department and manage actual spend against budget.
• Compile and present a strategy to reach targeted sales.
• Present technical presentations at farmers' days and other occasions to promote the company brand and products.
• Write articles for publication in the relevant magazines and online platforms.
• Monthly reporting to management.

Technical

• Manage margin and gross profit of Multi Green as decided by committee.
• Ensuring that quality products are sold to clients at market related prices.
• Responsible for the approval of prescribed mixtures as cost effective as possible.
• Manage product registrations & renewals with regulatory bodies.
• Compile, monitor and determine requirements of trials at clients.
• Ensuring that the quality and specifications of the final product meet the formulated, and where applicable, registered nutritional specifications as well as client specifications prescriptions.
• Monitoring, controlling and solving of escalated customer complaints.
