General Purpose of the Position:

Accountable for all health, safety, environmental, and quality programs and policies for IGS are adhered to. Responsible for, and actively manages IGS field services personnel with a goal of building and maintaining skills and abilities of the assigned team members. Provides feedback to IGS management team for safety, quality, project incentives and technical training needs. Supports IGS strategic growth objectives through execution of quality projects that directly impact the scalability and efficacy of IGS. Works under the direction of the assigned Project Manager while on the project. Acts as a liaison to the Project Manager on all matters related to safety, timeline, identification of additional work and upsell opportunities.

Critical Success Factors:

  • Work safely, ensuring both yourself and your team perform all activities in accordance with both IGS and customer site specific safety requirements
  • Provide effective communication and reporting of project related information to the Project Manager and other teams to support the goal of providing a superior customer service from IGS
  • Consistently review and adjust work flow of technicians to improve production activities that make your assigned team successful
  • Ensure work is performed in accordance with project specification, quality control plan and IGS Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's)
  • Routinely observe and coach Quality Control (QC) personnel and Technicians with a goal of improving both quality and efficiency of the work.
  • Strive to identify and deploy improvements that result in improved efficiency regarding consumable usage; abrasives, wire, and supplies
  • Conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times through personal adherence and coaching of your team in the use of IGS values (the IGS Way)
  • Report project and team performance accurately and openly to promote a learning environment where best practices and lessons learned are share.

Site Coordination
  • Site Establishment

  • Team Task Delegation - Give Team Direction
  • Work Flow management - Planning next step
  • Progress Management - Updating UOP layout / Coating Maps
Inspection (with QC and/or PM)
  • Initial Work Scope
  • Sandblasting Inspection
  • Repair Inspection
  • Final Inspection with and without Client
QCP Completion
  • Initial Work Scope Inspection
  • Final Work Scope Completion
  • Client Communication IAW with PM direction
Project Documentation
  • Identify / Report Near Miss / Incidents per IGS process
  • Shift Toolbox Talk
  • Shift Safety Observation
  • Shift Ghantt Chart
  • Assembles Team Performance Evaluations
Perform PM assistance tasks as delegated by PM
  • Per diem Request
  • Flight and Accommodation reservations
  • Equipment Maintenance - As delegated by PM
Skills and Abilities Required:
  • Ability and willingness to travel internationally
  • Knowledge of IGS policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of safety, health and environmental regulations
  • Effective communications and interpersonal skills to coordinate with others within and outside of the company
  • High level of self-sufficiency and initiative
  • Good situational leadership awareness; understanding when any given situation calls for a directive or a supportive posture
  • Basic computer software skills including, MS Word, Excel & Project software
  • Willing to lead and or follow in a Team Based environment
  • Must be fair and ethical
  • Must be a good listener
  • Understand cost management and optimization of expenditures
  • Ability to work in an industrial environment
  • Ability to meet customer pre-access requirements such as occupational health examinations, training requirements, drug screens, background searches, etc.

Effort/Working Conditions:
  • High physical effort and high level of physical exertion is required for this position
  • Job is performed in a challenging environment in various client facilities which includes but are not limited to refineries, paper mills and power plants in international locations
  • Work is generally performed in a confined space with extreme temperature variations
  • Regular attendance is essential for satisfactory performance in this position, reliability is required
  • Great flexibility is required including the working of overtime to meet seasonal or other peak workload demands
  • Moderate/high degree of danger associated with job
Education and Experience Required:
  • 3-5 years' experience in technical or manufacturing environment
  • 3-5 years' experience in field and site environment
  • 1-2 years' successful performance in a leadership position
  • Demonstrate situational leadership; understanding when and how much each employee needs direction or support on any given situation
