Job Purpose

Ownership and adherence to compliance and regulatory requirements pertaining to Cross Border Payments to minimise operational risk and identify and mitigate risk by adhering to the risk framework principles and ensuring sustainable business through alignment of business structures, systems, and processes. To support business objectives by managing fulfilment of requests from clients and staff in order to achieve business results with effective level of client satisfaction and risk management

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage the prioritisation of transactions, providing decisions in line with mandates and escalate identified risk transactions to the relevant support unit/s.
  • Ensure an effective control environment based on regulatory compliance, risk management, market conduct and other business process obligations to ensure alignment with independent audit controls.
  • Actively scrutinise transactions in terms of Exchange Control , Money Laundering (ML), Terrorist Financing (TF), reputational risk, sanctions, and financial crime indicators in line with the requirements set by CIB AML or Group AML Trade based finance (TBF).
  • Adhere to SARB regulations, Group policy and guidelines and contribute to the crafting of procedures, standards and processes.
  • Identify and resolve pain points through the engagement and escalation to the Senior Manager.
  • Support opportunities to improve business processes, systems, and digitisation by implementing effective ways to operate and providing feedback to management
  • Resolve exceptions that arise by taking appropriate action to minimise risk and financial loss.
  • Improve the control culture and ensure others comply with laws, regulations and guidelines.
  • Reduce costs, improve work processes and productivity.
  • Complete high quality, management information submissions.
  • Monitor and manage internal processes and procedures ensuring that all transactions are processed and reported according to laid down procedures and within regulatory requirements.
  • Manage the team effectively and efficiently across the HR value chain including recruitment, performance management, retention of critical staff, coaching and talent management.
  • Achieve risk management, governance and compliance requirements by ensuring adherence to agreed processes and policies
  • Support the operationalisation of products and services needed , minimising organisational complexity and cost to serve through constant control and benchmarking.
  • Ensure a gold-standard client experience by managing the execution obligations within the product portfolio.
  • Ensure seamless client experience through efficient and reliable services by prioritising high value clients
Essential Qualifications - NQF Level
  • Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
Preferred Qualification

Advanced Diploma/National 1st Degrees in relevant business-related fields e.g., Finance, Accounting, Economics

Minimum Experience Level
  • Must have 8 xe2x80x93 10 Years experience in Financial Services focused on Middle Office, Support, Client Operations
  • Experience in managing teams
  • Communicating with clients from all over the world by quoting and trading spot and forward FX rates for corporate and private trades.
