Position Title: Taxation Manager
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented
Taxation Manager
to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of South African tax legislation, leadership experience, and a strategic mindset. BCom Taxation / BCom Taxation / BCom Taxation Honours
Experience:
Minimum
3 years post-articles
experience in taxation or a similar role.Key Duties and Responsibilities:
In-depth understanding of:
Tax Administration Act
Income Tax Act
VAT Act
Customs and Excise Act
Oversee accurate and timely submission of the following returns:
PAYE
Corporate Income Tax (CIT)
VAT
Personal Income Tax (PIT)
Proficient use of the
SARS E-Filing System
Manage and submit:
Section 200 Applications (Compromise)
Deferral Payment Applications
Diesel Refunds
Customs and Excise Disputes
Prepare and file
Objections
,Appeals
, andSubmissions
to SARS, Tax Board, Tax CourtConduct
Tax Planning
for clientsRepresent clients in
meetings with SARS officials
Lead and manage a team within the
Tax Business Unit
Perform
staff performance assessments
in line with company policyCollaborate with HR for
leave management
Prepare and monitor
operational plans
for the taxation staffMaintain effective
stakeholder relations
with:Clients Financial Institutions Government Departments SARS
Provide regular
operational and assignment status reports
