Our client, a market leader in the Finance Industry, based in Gqeberha, is currently looking to employ a Tax Consultant.

Minimum Requirements

  • At least 1 - 2 years tax experience.
  • Appropriate accounting, law or tax qualification.
  • Good working knowledge of tax legislation.
  • SAICA Articles or SAIPA Articles would be advantageous.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Contribute to tax related reports / opinions / letters (including correspondence with SARS).
  • Conduct tax research that is relevant and meets the requirements of the brief provided by manager.
  • Perform tax calculations and reconciliations.
  • The preparation and submission of tax objections, appeals and VDP applications.
  • Completion of returns.
  • Preparation of response to SARS audits, verifications and other tax-related queries.
  • Accurate identification of variance between assessment and tax return.
  • Assist with identifying appropriate actions based on assessment variance and discuss this with senior team member or partner.
