Description:
The role is responsible for supporting the Talent Manager and the Human resource team to implement talent management projects and initiatives . This role will be responsible for the implementation of projects related to skills development, employment equity, succession planning, learning and development and any other initiative aimed at advancing talent management for the Africa Health Research Institute.
Overview of Duties:

Talent Management

  • Drive implementation of talent management initiatives for the organization.
  • Provide regular updates on trends identified and propose treatment plans.
  • Coordinate onboarding for new employees.
  • Conduct mandatory training for new employees.
Employment Equity
  • Prepare documentation for Employment Equity submission.
  • Prepare and arrange for Employment Equity Committee meetings.
  • Be the secretariat of the Employment Equity Committee meetings
Skills Development
  • Prepare monthly reports on skills development training.
  • Prepare and plan for Workplace Skills Plan and Annual Training Reports
  • Track discretionary funding applications and apply on behalf of the organization.
Talent Development
  • Provide support for business in identifying training and development opportunities for the organization
  • Monitor compliance to the policies and procedures of the organization
  • Manage internship programmes for the organization.
Performance Management
  • Track performance partnership compliance for the organization.
  • Assist employees and managers in completing their performance partnership goals and objectives.
  • Conduct refresher training for the organization.
Minimum Qualifications
1.Degree or National Diploma qualification in Human Resources Management
2.Skills Development Qualification advantageous
Minimum Experience
1.Minimum of 5 years experience in a learning and development role
2.Experience in working with SETA and compiling and submitting WSP and ATR
3.Experience in submission of Employment Equity reporting and working with the Department of Labour
4.In depth understanding of the South African Legislative framework (SAQA requirements, Skills Development statutory requirements)

1.Good verbal and written communication skills in English

3.High computer literacy
4.Report writing
5.Must be able to work under pressure
