The role will be based in our Cape Town branch office, enhancing our ability to deliver high-quality legal services across the firm, helping us meet increasing client demand and stay competitive in a rapidly evolving market for transformed legal delivery.

This role sits within Vario, a market leading alternative legal services provider within the law firm, Pinsent Masons. Vario is a practice group within Pinsent Masons which incorporates; Flexible Services, Consulting and Technology, Legal Project Management and Managed Legal Services (MLS).

This role is responsible for implementing the global talent engagement strategy within the UK, leading on engagement and recruitment activities for our consultant lawyer Hub. Based within Vario Flexible Services, the role will focus on the attraction, recruitment, and engagement of consultant lawyers in the UK.

You'll Be Responsible For



Engagement:Outbound engagement - engaging (in-person and via call/email) our talent base to maintain connectivity Acting as a superuser of our ATS/CRM and providing robust database management - accurately recording activity and updating records, actively refreshing candidate profiles regularly Maintaining talent pools in the UK - strategically monitoring talent pools to ensure a talent pipeline that can fulfil incoming requests Ownership of weekly candidate check-in meeting with the broader Account Management team

Recruitment:Acting as first point of contact to enquiries from new potential contractors Managing and coordinating the UK recruitment funnel: reviewing incoming applications, pre-screening candidates and providing feedback Identifying channels for us to reach talent and acting as a superuser on LinkedIn Recruiter Headhunting and market mapping talent for specific roles Providing input to continuously enhance our recruitment process Collaborating with other Pinsent Masons talent teams to share talent and best practice

Other ResponsibilitiesMonitoring key recruitment metrics and adjusting approach as necessary Supporting the Talent Engagement lead on strategic engagement projects in line with business need. Recent project examples include the launch of a training platform and Diversity reporting Establishing trusted relationships with the Account Management team Actively seek new and innovative ideas to engage legal talent and promote the Pinsent Masons Vario brand Coordinating Talent Engagement team meetings and monitoring actions


Skills and Experience





Proven experience in recruitment, ideally within legal, professional services or flexible workforce models Hands-on experience using Applicant Tracking Systems and/or CRM platforms Ability to build trusted relationships and influence stakeholders
