Our client is a FS company that is both successful and well set up for the future. . They are looking at new lines of business so there is a developmental and growth phase coming to the business which is exciting.
The company currently employs 400 staff.
They now seek a HR executive to join their team. You will report to the MD and sit on Exco.
The role is for a suitably qualified candidate who is also an African Black South African. There is an HR team of 12 competent individuals. You will lead this team. Your skill is in managing your stakeholders and garnering the trust and support of staff. You have all the normal HR skills but your super power is the ability to lead drive and cultivate a happy work space that thrives and succeeds.
JOB DESCRIPTION WILL INCLUDE BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO:

  • You will be required to design and lead a future-focused people strategy that attracts, develops and retains the talent essential to driving the next stage of the business growth;

CORE COMPETENCIES REQUIRED, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
  • You have strong leadership presence, emotional intelligence and the ability to influence and lead change at executive level;
  • You have the ability to blend strategic vision with operational execution, moving seamlessly from boardroom strategy to hands-on delivery.
CORE QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • You have a master's degree in HR, business, industrial psychology, etc.;
  • You have a minimum of 10 years current, relevant experience in strategic HR leadership positions where your track record speaks for itself;
  • You have a proven track record in designing and delivering people strategies that drive business success;
  • You have expertise across the full employee lifecycle, with a strong focus on talent, engagement and retention;
  • You have a deep knowledge of HR technology, digitisation of services and process automation;
  • You have experience in complex, high-performance industries such as financial services, asset management or management consulting. No parastatal or manufacturing experience would work in this environment.
You are someone that people like and want to work with and for; you have subject matter expertise and you are immediately credible. You are someone who would enjoy working in a focused Exco who care about their staff - this is a great role. Prior person has decided to move into consulting after a long tenure.
