Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Storage and virtualization infrastructure management ESXI Hosts, vCentre, Veeam & Disaster Recovery
• Day to day client backups administration on data protection platforms
• Define backup and restore procedures. Report on problems and trends
• Hardware installation and configuration
• Prepare and maintain technical systems documentation
• Travel to data centers for infrastructure-related tasks
• Infrastructure management administration and troubleshooting
• Take ownership of assigned tasks, incidents and requests to completion
• Ensure problems, incidents and requests are resolved within SLA
• Be available to work on standby and after hours (as and when required)
• Support production systems as required by optimizing performance, resolving backup problems, and providing timely follow-up on reported problems
• Resolve customer issues including complex technical scenarios
• Establish IT policies, standards, practices and security measures to ensure effective and consistent Information processing operations and to safeguard information resources
• Knowledge and understanding of storage, backup and security practices
• Knowledge and understanding of information processing principles and practices

• Tertiary Qualification in Information Technology (Diploma/ Degree)
• Advanced Certificate in Information Technology
• ITIL V3
• ICT/IT Certification (A+, C+, MCSE)
• VMCE (Veeam Certified Engineer)
• VMWare VCP 6.0 (or higher)
• NetApp Storage Certification
• Min of 5+ years implementation experience in VMWare (Infrastructure) and Back-up Technologies
• Ability to communicate clearly (both verbal and written)
• Strong logical reasoning, troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Excellent computer literacy
• Attention to detail is crucial
• Ability to work both independently and in a team setup
• Willing and able to work the hours related to the role
