Systems Business Analyst Analyst
Cape Town - Western Cape - South Africa

We are seeking an experienced Systems Business Analyst to become a vital member of the Finance Systems team. This is a permanent position based in Kuilsriver, reporting directly to the Finance Systems Manager. As a Systems Business Analyst, you will leverage your Finance knowledge and expertise to facilitate collaboration between the Business, IT, and external suppliers. Your primary responsibility will be to identify and recommend solutions, including new or enhanced business processes, information systems, and software applications, that align with the Functional Department/s and Business objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Business units, IT, and external suppliers, to gather requirements, analyze processes, and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Act as a liaison between the Finance Systems team and other stakeholders, translating business needs into actionable technical requirements.
• Analyze existing financial systems, processes, and workflows to identify gaps and areas for optimization.
• Design and propose effective solutions, including business process enhancements, system upgrades, or new software applications.
• Contribute to the development of project plans, including scope, timelines, and resource requirements.
• Support the implementation of recommended solutions by providing clear documentation, user training, and ongoing assistance.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure seamless integration and alignment of technology solutions with business goals.
• Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to Finance systems and processes.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field.
• Proven track record in a Finance environment, demonstrating familiarity with financial systems, processes, and project management.
• Strong understanding of business analysis methodologies, tools, and techniques.
• Experience in collaborating with IT teams and external vendors to deliver technology solutions.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Problem-solving mindset with a focus on driving process efficiencies and continuous improvement.
• Detail-oriented and organized, capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities.
• Proficiency in relevant software applications and tools, including MS Office Suite and business analysis software.
