Responsible for compliance to Security and Risk Procedures
Responsible for the implementation and adherence to new security procedures and measures.
Practice compliance of protection goals and objectives.
Monitor that the Security Officers on duty comply and adhere to procedures and report any deviations.
Educate and guide security officers on duties as defined in the security SLA.
Report all instances where security shifts are not at full complement to Security and Compliance Officer and/or management as soon as this becomes evident.
Responsible for effective monitoring and accurate reporting at one's center
Monitor, investigate and report on any critical alarms.
Monitor movement inside and outside the facility via CCTV and report on any abnormalities.
Report on the service ability and operation of all security related CCTV cameras and systems.
Monitor and maintain all security systems, e.g, in terms of functionality.
Assess and investigate each incident and propose a suitable intervention.
Submit intervention for approval and implementation.
Perform fault finding, resolve issues where possible, report/escalate problems to the Security and Compliance Officer.
Escalate all procedural and policy non-compliance to the relevant seniors.
Subscribe and align to SBV Services' ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Standards, ensuring the department's processes and quality management system is at all times in compliance with the standard.
Support SBVs ESG journey, reporting on and managing the ESG requirements to ensure a positive reflection and outcome.
Responsible for carrying out access control and general system control room duties
Enforce strict access controls to verify that only legitimate visitors and staff members enter the premises as well as System control room in accordance with access control procedures.
Confirm that the main gate Protocols are adhered to prior to opening any gate.
Physically attend to areas where staff members over-ride the interlock systems, key guard units and emergency doors.
Conduct routine inspections at the shift handover and record in the occurrence book, verifying all center Security Protocols are adhered to.
Verify that all applicable keys are controlled and recorded in a key register as required.
Effective executive of System Control Room administration
Store all documentation as per policy as well as adhering to POPI requirements.
Maintain all security registers and verify that the registers are accurate.
Guarantee the availability of registers.
Receive and file visitors access forms within the assigned location.
Risk Management
Adhere to the BCM plan and disaster recovery process to ensure availability, integrity, security and confidentiality.
Drive risk management and compliance with all necessary rules & regulations that govern the business unit.
Provide SME input into mechanisms and ideas to mitigate both the risks identified
Drive the organisation culture
Drive the department's values while inspiring confidence and generating excitement, enthusiasm and commitment towards the mission.
Lead as an Ambassador and executor of Change
Act as a change management architect in periods of change to ensure business continuity.
Manage the integration of business units into a seamless end to end solution for customers.
Effectively communicate and embed new processes and procedures as they occur, addressing or escalating matters/ concerns to the SME's (subject matter experts) when required.
Facilitate the necessary presentations, workshops, or forums to ensure consistent and accurate communication is given across one's portfolio
Minimum Requirements: Work Experience
Minimum of 3 years' experience in a Security Access Control Room environment of which:
o 2 years' experience in operating/administering access control systems e.g. CCTV etc (not physical access control)
Minimum Requirements: Education
Grade 12
PSIRA registered Grade C
MS Office Proficient
* Certificate/Diploma Risk management: Advantageous
