Job Advert Summary

PURPOSE:
  • To provide supply chain management systems support and expertise in relations to Coupa platform and SAP MM modules. Work with cross functional teams in respect of user access, integration to other functional modules, testing of Enterprise Resources Planning and/or Cloud based procurement system upgrade/change implementation. Act as an escalation and liaison expert between supply chain management users and Information Management systems expert.
MAJOR CHALLENGES:
  • Pressure to resolve highly diverse and significant volumes of systems related queries within acceptable turnaround time.

Minimum Requirements


QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor of Information Technology (Essential/Minimum or)
  • B Degree (Relevant) (Essential/Minimum)
  • SAP Procurement Academy SCM (Essential/Minimum)
EXPERIENCE:

3-5 years Relevant experience regarding supply chain management systems applications including source to pay processes as well as warehouse/ inventory functions. (Essential/Minimum) Operational
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Psychometric Assessment (Essential/Minimum)
  • Certificate of Fitness (Essential/Minimum)
  • COUPA Platform Certification (Essential/Minimum)

Duties & Responsibilities

Business Partner Enablement
  • Provide expert process advice to business partners/end-users through in-transaction guidance, coaching and mentoring.
  • Identify, develop, and design tools, aids, methodologies, and processes to make it easier for business partners/end-users to execute some of the sourcing activities on a self-service basis
  • Participate in system implementations and provide Supply Chain expertise to technical project team.

Business Performance and Operations
  • Understand business requirements and transform them into system design.
  • Develop testing approaches and execute testing scripts for User Acceptance Testing sign-off relating to new developments or system enhancements.
  • Provide on-going support for new software patches and releases and ensure implementation with change management is in accordance with relating governance requirements.
  • Troubleshoot, analyse, and resolve user queries relating to SCM applications, including system errors, integration failures, access issues and functional enquiries.
  • Collaboration with Information Management to implement permanent solutions to ongoing system issues.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of SCM applications related processes and propose enhancements to optimise the system and improve user experience.

Compliance, Governance and Assurance
  • Ensure compliance with relevant adopted codification standards (e.g. Electronic Commerce Code Management Association (ECCMA), International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) etc.)
  • Interpret relevant legislative and corporate governance requirements to identify and mitigate potential business risks.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation including Config Rationale, Business Requirement Specifications, Functional Design Specification and Testing Scripts.
  • Governance: Ensure function adheres to governance, policies, standards, statutory and legal compliance. Entrench a culture of discipline

Customer and Client Relationship Management
  • Interface with key Supply Chain personnel on an ongoing basis to ensure that accurate data and content is loaded onto systems.
  • Partner proactively with IM to identify new technology enablers to fill Procurement capability gaps

Functional Excellence
  • Adhere to functional policies, standards, guidelines, procedures, end- to end processes, tools, templates etc.
  • Audit for purpose of standardising, simplifying and speeding-up functional processes and eliminating duplication/bureaucracy during user transaction access authorisations, Delegation of Authority (DOA) testing, user profile structuring and MM master data configurations
  • Apply functional best practices, promote sharing of best practices/ knowledge

Internal Business Processes
  • Train SCM enabling functions and assist in skill gaps analysis and identification of new technology training opportunities and drive the transition to business partner sourcing
  • Update management on key issues and ongoing resolution efforts
  • Evaluate, validate, and attempt to implement quick fixes for issues .and prioritise according to level of workflow impedance and criticality.
  • Escalate issues to technical systems experts and act as a liaison between user and technical systems expert.

  • Maintain and ensure a healthy environment, safe operations practices, ensuring compliance with all applicable safety Health and Environmental (SHE) policies procedures in line with set standards
  • Encourage a culture that focuses on safety in all operations

Systems Infrastructure and Enablement
  • Represent Supply Chain Management (SCM) in implementation of information management technology and infrastructure support to SCM function
  • Identify and resolve escalated problems, participate in development of solutions towards optimizing applicable processes and systems
