Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure Management
Manage and maintain Windows and Linux server environments (physical and virtual)
Administer Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP services
Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity planning
Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions
Manage virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, or Proxmox)
Ensure system updates, patches, and security configurations are current
Maintain system documentation and configuration records
Network Administration
Configure and manage network infrastructure (switches, routers, firewalls)
Implement and maintain VPNs and remote access solutions
Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues
Manage IP addressing schemes and VLAN configurations
Ensure network security through proper segmentation and access controls
Support WiFi infrastructure and wireless connectivity
User Support & Management
Create and manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights
Provide second and third-level technical support to end users
Troubleshoot desktop, laptop, and mobile device issues
Manage email systems (Microsoft 365, Exchange, or similar)
Support collaboration tools (Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive)
Conduct user training on systems and security best practices
Security & Compliance
Implement and maintain security policies and procedures
Monitor security logs and respond to security alerts
Manage endpoint protection and antivirus solutions
Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments
Ensure compliance with security standards and client requirements
Support cybersecurity team with incident response activities
Cloud Services Management
Administer cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Microsoft 365)
Manage hybrid cloud environments and synchronization
Support cloud migrations and integrations
Monitor cloud resource usage and optimize costs
Implement cloud security and compliance controls
Project Support
Participate in infrastructure upgrade and migration projects
Implement new systems and technologies for clients
Conduct system testing and validation
Create and maintain technical documentation
Support disaster recovery testing and business continuity planning
Client Management
Serve as primary technical contact for assigned clients
Respond to client requests and incidents in timely manner
Provide regular system health reports and recommendations
Participate in client meetings and technical reviews
Build trusted relationships through reliable service delivery
Job Type: Temporary
Contract length: 3 months
Pay: R15000,00 - R30000,00 per month
