Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sushi Chef to join our culinary team. As a Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality dishes, managing kitchen operations, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook high-quality dishes to menu specifications, ensuring consistency and presentation.
2. Kitchen Operations: Manage kitchen operations, including food storage, inventory management, and equipment maintenance.
3. Menu Planning and Development: Assist with menu planning and development, including creating new recipes and menus.
4. Food Safety and Hygiene: Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards.
5. Team Management: Supervise and train kitchen staff, promoting a positive and productive team environment.
6. Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies and ingredients as needed.
7. Cost Control: Control food costs, minimizing waste and optimizing menu engineering.
Requirements:
1. Culinary Qualifications: Diploma or degree in culinary arts, or equivalent experience.
2. Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a commercial kitchen environment.
3. Culinary Skills: Strong culinary skills, including knife skills, cooking techniques, and presentation.
4. Leadership Skills: Strong leadership skills, including team management, communication, and problem-solving.
5. Food Safety Certification: Food safety certification, such as HACCP or equivalent.
6. Physical Demands: Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and work in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Certified Chef: Certified chef designation, such as CMC or equivalent.
2. Specialized Culinary Training: Specialized culinary training
3. Language Skills: Ability to speak multiple languages.
4. Previous Experience in a Similar Establishment: Experience working in a high-end restaurant, hotel, or resort
