A leading FMCG manufacturer in Johannesburg is seeking a Supply Chain Planner to join their dynamic team. This role is ideal for a detail-driven professional with strong planning and logistics experience, who thrives under pressure and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
Duties & Responsibilities

• Oversee short-term planning for multiple production facilities, including Fries Factory, Veg Packing Factory, and Bulk Veg supply.
• Coordinate raw material requirements, packaging purchases, and import orders to ensure uninterrupted production.
• Compile and maintain various reports, including weekly planning updates, WBR reports, and daily operational reports.
• Track order status, monitor variances, and provide accurate feedback to management.
• Liaise with suppliers and internal teams to confirm orders, manage timelines, and resolve delays.
• Ensure clear communication across departments to streamline supply chain operations.
• Manage planning functions using Great Plains system and advanced Excel reporting tools.
• Maintain compliance with company processes while seeking opportunities for efficiency improvement.
• Anticipate supply chain challenges and implement solutions to minimise risk.
• Ensure planning objectives are achieved within tight deadlines in a high-pressure FMCG environment.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 / Matric (essential).
• Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field.
• 3-5 years' experience in supply chain, agriculture, or FMCG sector.
• Strong system knowledge (Great Plains experience preferred).
• Advanced MS Excel and MS Office proficiency.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and deliver results under pressure.
