Job Description

Our client, a leading mining company in the Northern Cape, is seeking an experienced and qualified Supply Chain Manager to join their team. To develop, co-ordinate, implement and manage the execution of an overall strategy to improve costs, service and quality across their mining operations and to co-ordinate with strategic sourcing stakeholders and suppliers to achieve performance targets. Ensure the day-to-day operation of the purchasing section by ensuring cost effective, timeous and excellent quality purchasing of items and services according to policies and procedures.
Desired Experience and Qualifications
Bachelor Degree (NQF Level 7) in Logistics/Supply Chain/Finance/Engineering
Minimum of five (5) years operational supply chain experience in a mining/technical environment
Minimum of five (5) years management experience
Ensure day to day operation of Stores section by ensuring effective stock management, which includes but not limited to:
Category Management; Quality Management
Supplier Relationship Management
Cost Saving; Data integrity
Procurement Management; Vendor Management
