The Department of Infrastructure, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for an competent individual to render supply chain support specific service to internal staff.
Minimum Requirements
Senior Certificate (Grade 12 or equivalent qualification)
Recommendation
A valid (Code B or higher) driving license. NB: People with disabilities that restrict driving abilities, but who have reasonable access to transport, may also apply; Experience in the following: Supply chain management or financial management; LOGIS (Logistical Information System); Electronic Purchasing System (EPS); BAS (Basic Accounting System) or related systems.
Key Performance Areas
Record keeping and control of stock in stores, obtaining quotations from suppliers and placement of orders; Receiving and issuing of stock; BAS/LOGIS reconciliation; Reconciliation of accounts; Stocktaking; Processing of Payments.
Competencies
Knowledge and understanding of Finance and Supply Chain Management practices. Skills needed: Proven computer literacy; Written and verbal communication; Computer literacy - WORD and EXCEL (MS Office); Problem solving; Creative thinking; Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines; Able to work independently and as part of a Team.
Remuneration
R 228 321 - R 268 950 per annum (Salary level 5)
Note on remuneration in addition to service benefits or obligations for qualifying employees (medical assistance, housing assistance, pension-fund contributions, etc) are funded or co-funded in terms of the applicable prescripts or collective agreements.

Shortlisted candidates will be required to submit documentation for verification purposes and criminal record vetting. These candidates will be required to complete a practical assessment and attend interviews on a date and time determined by the department and may also be required to undergo competency assessments/proficiency tests.
